The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) will be held from 4 – 15 April 2018 with representation from 70 nations and territories including 6,600 athletes and officials, 3,000 media and a broadcast audience of 1.5 billion.
The Games will provide more than $200 million in new sporting and community infrastructure in the region, inject an estimated $2 billion into the Queensland economy and provide up to 30,000 full-time equivalent jobs.
GC2018 presents a unique opportunity for business partnerships – it’s a chance to engage with diverse communities and businesses around the world that would otherwise require very targeted campaigns.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham) are hosting a business briefing and panel discussion on February 3 in Brisbane to help businesses understand how partnering with GC2018 enhances business prospects, both in the lead up to The Games and into the future.
The panel of guests includes The Honourable Peter Beattie AC (Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation), Rowena Craze (KPMG) and Geoff Parmenter (Star Entertainment Group).
