Queensland Tourism Workforce Plan 2017-20

October 13, 2017

Have your say on the future of your region’s tourism workforce

Jobs Queensland worked extensively with industry stakeholders to develop the Queensland Tourism Workforce Plan 2017–20. Launched on 20 July 2017 by the Minister for Training and Skills, the Honourable Yvette D’Ath, the Plan outlines strategies to meet the opportunities of a growing tourism sector in Queensland. During consultation, industry was clear about what it wanted – ‘do-able’, realistic recommendations that could be owned by industry in partnership with government and actioned at a local level, as well as state-wide.

They are now visiting your region to consult with industry stakeholders to finalise your draft Regional Tourism Workforce Plan. This region-specific plan will outline strategies to meet the opportunities of a growing tourism sector and will ensure employers have the right workers with the right skills and training to take advantage of the opportunities for the future.

For more information and to register your attendance, you can either email engagement@jobsqueensland.qld.gov.au or you can find out more on the Job Queensland’s website.
